Some days the scoreboard tells one story, but the players tell a much better one. Matt summed it up perfectly walking off the field:
“I go 3‑for‑3, turn two double plays, and we never even came close to winning.”
Softball will humble you and hype you up all in the same morning.
And then there was Jack’s moment of the day. He gets a hold of one, watches it head to center, and immediately blurts out his classic: “Oh no…” — fully convinced he’d just served up a lazy fly‑out.
Except… the ball kept going.
And going.
And then it got past the center fielder, rolled all the way to the fence, and suddenly Jack’s “oh no” turned into an in‑the‑park home run. The dugout absolutely loved it!

The home team kept the pressure on, flashing defense and timely hits, while the visitors stacked up individual highlights but couldn’t quite close the gap. Still, plenty of laughs, plenty of stories, and another great morning of ball in the books.
