The Visitors walked away with a 14–7 win after seven full innings, thanks to a blazing hot start that put the Home team on their heels early. They came out swinging, stacking 12 runs in the first three innings, then cooled off, adding just one run in the 6th and one more in the 7th. But that early burst was enough to carry the day.
On the mound, Tony kept things steady, holding the Home team to 1 run in the 1st, 1 in the 3rd, 1 in the 4th, and limiting a late push of 3 runs in the 6th. He didn’t just pitch — he produced at the plate too, hammering three doubles and a single in a standout performance.
Dawson matched the energy with three singles and a double, staying locked in all game. Jeff added a clean shot to the outfield for a double, crossing the plate twice and keeping the Visitors’ momentum alive.
For the Visitors, Mike C contributed with 3 base hits and 2 runs, and DiPietro added a couple base hits and 2 runs.
No major drama, no wild swings — just a crisp, quick game of solid ball. Even with a few raindrops drifting through, the teams pushed right on and finished all seven innings. Another one in the books for Lakeland Senior Softball.
