Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 11:15 a.m.
Attendance
Present: Doug Bingle, Greg Adkins, Deanna Lainhart, Kerry Charlet, JD Davis, and Karl Callahan
Non-Voting Member/Webmaster: Leslie Bales
Absent: Luke Grinstead, Larry Klinkers, and Pat Fenner
Financial Report
Kerry Charlet presented the financial report.
Annual Dues
A discussion was held regarding an increase in annual player dues. Several options were discussed, including maintaining the current dues while eliminating the player gift and postponing the purchase of new shirts for two years.
Following discussion, a vote was taken on increasing annual dues. The motion passed by a vote of 4 in favor and 2 opposed.
The new annual dues structure will be:
- Florida residents: $50 per year
- Out-of-state residents: $40 per year
- Players age 80 and over: Half of the applicable dues based on residency
- Hall of Fame members: Dues waived, although Hall of Fame members may choose to pay dues voluntarily
League Shirts
The Board discussed new shirts for league play. Players will receive a new two-button style shirt, with possible colors including orange and either light blue or gray.
The current dark blue shirts will continue to be used by the middle team during three-team league games.
League Coaches
An email will be sent to players seeking individuals interested in coaching a league team for the upcoming season.
2027 Registration
Registration will open soon for the upcoming season. All registrations will be done electronically via the website; however, players who are unable to register online will have alternative methods to submit their registration.
Player dues may be paid by cash or check at the field. At this time, Lakeland Senior Softball does not have a system in place to accept electronic payments.
